Feeling caught between a planet in crisis and your old school man? For Earth Day, we’re sharing our top tips to reduce your guy’s carbon footprint.

1. Ditch that detergent

Yes, of course he can still use the laundry detergent his mom used during his childhood that is bright blue, full of phosphates, and comes in a huge plastic container. But only when he does the laundry, which in all fairness, will be at least twice a year. Plus, when his favorite detergent runs out, just replace it with eco-friendly detergent and add some food coloring!

Bonus tip!

If your guy likes to throw his clothes in the laundry (aka on the floor) after wearing them for just a couple of hours, simply pick them up and hang them back up in the closet. He will never know!

2. Saving electricity, one light bulb at a time

He grew up in an era when using electricity was doing his patriotic duty, but you can’t follow him around turning off the lights all the time. Nagging rarely achieves the desired effect, so try removing the light bulbs your man leaves on most frequently. You won’t even have to worry…
